Thanks to your generous support, the High Desert Museum has offered inspiring exhibitions, programs, wildlife encounters and art that connect visitors to the natural beauty and human ecology of the High Desert region for 35 years. Your donation helps educate future generations with unforgettable learning experiences that are not available anywhere else.
Please help us maintain our early childhood education programs such as Little Wonders that contribute to expanding critical thinking skills and developing an interest in science. Help us present nine new exhibits a year that engage and entertain. Help make the Museum accessible to 14,000 families every year who can’t afford to visit. Help us care for our otters and other animals. We spend more than $27,000 a year to keep our mammals, raptors, reptiles and amphibians healthy and well-fed. Giving feels good, and it’s tax deductible. The High Desert Museum is a 501(c)3 and it’s easy to donate online. Just go to the green Donate button above and fill out the simple donation form.
Donations of any amount are deeply appreciated. If you are interested in making a sustaining gift on a recurring monthly or quarterly basis, please call Director of Philanthropy Kathy Baczko at 541-382-4754 ext. 248.

Charitable Giving Incentives as a Result of COVID-19
To encourage charitable giving this year of COVID19, the CARES Act has created a number of tax incentives, including an “above the line” universal deduction of $300 for cash charitable contributions in 2020. You can claim this deduction on your tax return next year without itemizing. Additionally, the CARES Act has increased tax deductible individual cash donations from 60% to 100% of AGI (Adjusted Gross Income). For businesses, the new law also increases the limit on the deduction for cash charitable contributions from 10% to 25% of a corporation’s taxable income. Please check with the IRS or your tax advisor to find out more.
The High Desert Museum accepts Visa and Mastercard only.
