“The 20-Dollar Art Show” Opening Night Party

Bend’s biggest little art show is back, presented by Bright Place Gallery. The Museum is honored to host this year’s 20-Dollar Art Show, featuring thousands of pieces of original art by over 100 local artists. Join us to celebrate with live music, food, drinks and $20 art. Costumes encouraged. Portions of the event will be held outside, rain or shine. Come dressed for the elements!

$5 per person

Participants will be required to show upon arrival a COVID-19 vaccination card or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours and a photo ID. Those under 12 years of age are welcome without a vaccination card or negative test.

Everyone is required to wear a face covering outdoors and inside the Museum. Please be respectful of space and keep a six-foot distance between parties.

There will be food and drink available for purchase from the Museum’s Rimrock Café.

You may begin lining up at 4:00 pm and the Museum doors open at 5:00 pm. Please follow the line. While in line, you will be given a piece of paper with instructions. Please read it thoroughly so you understand how to purchase artwork.

For artwork purchases, cash is preferred. You will be charged $1 per piece for all non-cash transactions (to cover the processing fees).

While viewing the artwork, please remember the following:

  • Do not remove art from the walls.
  • Do not touch the art.
  • Do not remove stickers from the wall.
  • A sticker means the piece is sold.

You will not be able to take your purchased artwork home the night of the opening party. Bring your purchase slips back to the Museum beginning Monday, November 1, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, through November 10.

Optional! If you email Bright Place Gallery a photo of your slips 24 hours in advance, we will have your pieces packed up and ready for you. Without a 24-hour warning, please anticipate up to an hour wait when you arrive. You will be able to purchase more pieces when you come to pick things up.

The exhibit runs daily October 31 – November 10. Purchases can still be made on these days, and you will be able to bring your pieces home with you. We will continue to ask that you don’t remove the art from the walls without our assistance.

The following Refund Policy is in effect for the High Desert Museum. For Museum events and programs: no refunds, unless the Museum cancels the program or event. For more information on the policy, contact the Museum at 541-382-4754 ext. 241.
