Member Discounts: If you're visiting the Museum with more than four people in your family, you'll save money with a Membership. Become a member now and enter admission-free all year! Plus, get guest passes, discounts in the store, special event invitations and other valuable benefits.
Military Discounts: Active and retired military personnel with government ID receive 10% off their family's admission. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Museum participates in the Blue Star Museum program, providing active military, National Guard and Reserve personnel and their families free admission.
Museums for All: The High Desert Museum has joined Museums for All. The program enables families to visit the High Desert Museum at a reduced admission rate of $2.00 per person with the presentation of an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and photo ID. The reduced rate will be offered for up to six individuals (up to two adults and four children) per EBT card and is valid during normal business hours only.
The Museum accepts all major credit cards.
The best way to see the Museum is to design your own personal tour of our exhibits and wildlife, and find out what's happening daily. We suggest that you allow at least two to three hours for your visit.
REFUND POLICY: The following Refund Policy is in effect for all purchases made from High Desert Museum
For Memberships: No refunds.
For HDM Event tickets: No refunds.
For Donations: No refunds.
For Facility Rental: please see refund policy as stated in our Facility Rental contract.
For Education camps:
Kids Camp Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your registration for any reason, please notify the Museum as soon as possible. If you cancel up to 21 days in advance, you are eligible to receive a 75% refund. A 50% refund will be given to cancellations made up to 14 days prior to the first day of camp. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the first day of camp, will not be refunded. Be aware that refunds will not be given for partial or unattended days.
Backpack Explorers: If you must cancel your registration for any reason, please notify the Museum as soon as possible. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance you will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours receive no refund.
Public Programs: If you must cancel your registration for any reason, please notify the Museum as soon as possible. If you cancel more than seven days in advance you will receive a full refund. Cancellations less than seven days from the event will receive no refund.
