Bobby Brunoe, CEO and Secretary/Treasurer for the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, and Josh Newton, Partner at BBK Law, will explore tribal sovereignty and treaty rights as they relate to water in the region. For 7 million years, beavers have shaped Oregon’s landscape. Beginning in the early 1800s, however, Euro-American fur trapping and eradication policies almost exterminated beavers from this region completely.
